Stephen, a native of Haywood County and a proud alumnus of Western Carolina University, brings a wealth of leadership experience from his years in emergency care and hospital administration to the new role. His career spans from his early work in the emergency department at Haywood Regional Medical Center to key leadership roles, including Administrator at Swain Community Hospital and his most recent role as Senior Nursing Officer for Harris Regional and Swain Community Hospitals. His track record in advancing operational efficiency, patient safety, and strategic fiscal management is set to further elevate our mission of making communities healthier. Stephen’s deep local ties and proven expertise will drive innovative strategies and enhance service delivery across all three hospitals.
