    ?? We’ve been working with a variety of charitable partners over the past few years to create better opportunity for disadvantaged young people in the UK. We’re delighted to announce that as of today, Hays is now the latest Homewards Activator, forming a partnership dedicated to creating employment pathways for those experiencing, or at risk, of homelessness in six Homewards locations - Aberdeen, Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole, Lambeth, Newport, Northern Ireland and Sheffield. ?? Homewards is a five-year programme created by Prince William and The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales that aims to demonstrate that it is possible to end homelessness - making it rare, brief, and unrepeated. ?? The new partnership builds on Project Flourish, work that we began in 2022 in collaboration with EveryYouth. Project Flourish is an employability programme that equips disadvantaged young people with skills for meaningful jobs and supports employers in creating inclusive environments. ?? Karen Young FCICM Young, Social & Environmental Purpose Lead at Hays UK&I and Jamie Houlders, Project Lead of Project Flourish were today able to meet with Prince William and Steven Bartlett at Aberdeen Foyer to share the success of Project Flourish so far and encourage more employers to get involved. Specsavers and Amey joined us today to show their commitment as employers who will lead the way on this initiative. ?? As a Homewards Activator, Hays will assist in obtaining national and local commitments towards the provision of job and training opportunities, addressing the needs identified in all Homewards Local Action Plans, and we will deliver tailored, data-driven insights to help identify and overcome employment barriers for individuals facing homelessness. ??     Our latest research into employment trends highlights a pressing issue for employers mandating a return-to-office (RTO): while 39% are offering incentives to ease the transition, a significant 61% have not, leaving them vulnerable to growing employee dissatisfaction. This comes amid concerns from 66% of employers about potential backlash – and with good reason. Nearly half (48%) of employees would consider leaving their roles if forced back to the workplace full-time, posing a major risk to staff retention ??. ??
