In 2019, Kati took the leap from full time job to building a business from her freelance gigs and built Haynes Marketing + Media, to become a 6-figure marketing agency, within her first year in business. Five years ago today, I took the leap from full-time employment to pursuing my dream of owning my own business. Some days it feels like just yesterday, while other days it feels like I've been on this journey for 15 years! When I started on this path on June 21, 2019, I knew it would be challenging but immensely worthwhile. Since then, I've traveled more, spent quality time with family and friends, and worked harder than ever before. I'm passionate about what I do, and I love every moment of it. A heartfelt thank you to all my amazing clients – you're the reason I get to do what I love. Building a small business with a limited number of clients has allowed me to form meaningful relationships with each of you. You inspire me, teach me new things, and keep me motivated every single day. In less than a year, what started as a side hustle transformed into a thriving six-figure business. I've hustled, learned to set boundaries, and still face imposter syndrome on some days. A special shoutout to Vince and Kathy – my former bosses who believed in me and provided invaluable guidance. Your teachings, confidence, and unwavering support have been instrumental in my success. You showed me the importance of leading with heart, communicating effectively, and building strong communities. To Dean and Becki – thank you for being my mental support from day one. Your encouragement, even on the tough days, kept me going. There were moments of doubt and too many backup plans, but your belief in me made all the difference. Who else could I thank?! A TON OF PEOPLE!! But I only have so much space... LOL Starting a business isn't for the faint of heart.
