Hawthorn Foundation was a proud sponsor of the National Security Crossroads Stakeholder Workshop held at the WWI Museum in Kansas City earlier this week. A joint effort between Missouri and Kansas City, the event focused on how we can elevate the region as a premier location for national security asset investment. Congressman Mark Alford delivered an inspiring keynote address, followed by informative panels focusing on community engagement, education and workforce, military installations, and defense. Kudos to Missouri Military Advocate Harry Roberts and team on a job well done! (Also Hawthorn Foundation ED Becky Willard and Missouri Partnership CEO G. Subash Alias got to make a stop in Warrensburg to meet Old Drum!)

We had a fantastic group at our first Quarterly Meeting of 2025! In addition to Governor Mike Kehoe we featured a panel on our electric cooperative structure and the increased demand for power, an update from Missouri Partnership, and a trio of Kehoe Caninet members. Thank you to everyone who joined us, especially our hosts at Callaway Electric Cooperative in Fulton!
