The Hawai‘i Energy team was down at the state capitol this week, visiting with lawmakers & sharing the many incredible things accomplished through their support of energy conservation initiatives. We highlighted the progress of the state EV charging station rebate program, as well as the many benefits Hawai‘i Energy has provided to residents and businesses including new ENERGY STAR appliances, lighting, and more, at reduced prices. As we wind down 2024, we bid aloha to our Video Production Intern, Emmy Okinaka! Emmy’s a senior at UH Mānoa majoring in Cinematic Arts, and over the last two semesters, has been a creative tour de force, producing a promotional video for our EmPOWER Grant program, assisting with video and photography for our events, and developing a series of onboarding training videos for our new teammates – all while balancing a busy school schedule.
