This QS 1000 event will determine the women's qualifiers for the 2025 Challenger Series and the men's and women's 2025 WSL Longboard Tour qualifiers. HTA is proud to partner with WSL to showcase the talent cultivated in the Hawaiian Islands – surfers like ēwelei?ula Wong and Luke Tema who just won the Sunset Pro. The UH + Chaminade basketball event was about more than just the game. It was about coming together as a community and supporting one another. UH and Chaminade men and women faced off in a thrilling doubleheader exhibition at Kamehameha Maui. The UH Rainbow Wahine dominated with a commanding victory, 73-13. The men’s game was a nail-biter, but UH pulled away in the second half for a hard-fought win, 85-80. Earlier this month, the UH Mānoa Rainbows and Chaminade Silverswords headed over to Maui for a weekend of hoops and community spirit! Huge shoutout to the teams for putting on a day of keiki clinics at Lahainaluna, with dozens of youth practicing drills and picking up valuable tips from some of the best players in Hawai?i. On the final day of our Hawai?i Tourism Conference, we heard remarks from Governor Josh Green and Senate President Ron Kouchi, panels on transportation, workforce development with Senator Donovan Dela Cruz, an outlook on the U.S. market from Future Partners and and update from our U.S. and global MCI teams, and a Tourism Legacy Awards luncheon honoring Hamura Saimin and Chef Sam Choy – as well as the induction of Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalaniana?ole to the Hawai?i Hospitality Hall of Fame. On Day 2 of our Hawai?i Tourism Conference, we heard a keynote from Brand USA's Fred Dixon, updates from our in-market teams, enjoyed a lunch in our expo space, and closed the day with a Celebration of Hawai?i's Culinary Scene on the Hawai?i Convention Center rooftop featuring our collaboration with the Culinary Institute of the Pacific.
