关于我们
The Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation was formed in 1991 by a group of parents and medical providers after a statewide needs assessment showed that there were many childhood cancer needs not being met by any existing entity. HCCF is a corporation organized under the laws of the state of Hawaii. HCCF was granted IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit status in 1993. The Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation serves to assist, support, and advocate for the needs of children diagnosed with cancer, their families, and long-term survivors of childhood cancer. The Foundation is dedicated to the children who are battling cancer, to those who have survived, and to those who survive in our hearts. Last year, HCCF’s Family Financial Assistance Program provided over $280,000 in assistance to Hawaii families with children with cancer. All of HCCF’s donated funds stay in Hawaii and all services are provided free of charge to families. Other programs include Kokua Baskets, educational workshops, social events, and advocacy.

We are so grateful for the generous grant we recently received from The Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation. Their support for our community is truly amazing and will make a significant positive impact on the lives of the keiki and families we serve here in Hawaii. On behalf of all of us at HCCF, we thank you! pictured: Catherine H.Q. Ching, Trustee, The Clarence T.C. The ongoing generosity and support of our community has made it possible for HCCF to continue our mission to help Hawaii's keiki and families fighting cancer. Here is just one example of how your donations have had a positive impact on the lives of the families we serve: "The HCCF financial assistance program supports our family not only financially, but also emotionally. It is stressful for parents to face this sudden situation and to take care of a sick child. To better take care of our child, we had to stop working in the first month. The financial support from HCCF has helped our family and gives us hope and support. Thank you!” Please visit us at hccf.org to make a donation in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!

A cancer diagnosis impacts the entire family and very often includes both emotional and financial stress. Parents and guardians want to focus their time and attention on the care and well-being of their seriously ill child, but that is often difficult to do when burdened by overwhelming medical bills and major income disruption. HCCF aims to alleviate some of the financial stress on families through its Financial Assistance Program. For more information on this program, or other programs and services we provide, or to donate to HCCF, please go to hccf.org.

?? A Heartfelt Thank You to REBI and the Amazing Sponsors and Golfers! REBI President Shaila Campbell, along with Golf Committee Chairs Scott Fujiwara and Davelyn Tengan, proudly presented a check for $15,000 to the Hawaii Children's Cancer Foundation board member Chris Otto and Executive Director Michelle Meredith. ??? This event would not have been possible without the generosity of the sponsors and the enthusiastic participation of our golfers at our Annual REBI Golf Tournament held last July. We couldn’t have done it without you! Your contributions are making a real difference in the lives of children and families battling cancer.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We honor the children diagnosed with cancer, the medical professionals who compassionately treat them, the families who love and care for them, all the survivors and those who have lost their lives. At any given time in Hawaii, as many as 200 children are being treated for cancer. It is the #1 cause of death in children. HCCF has been helping Hawaii’s keiki and families fighting cancer for over 30 years and will continue to be by their side until we find a cure.
