Serving to assist, support, and advocate for the needs of Hawaii's children diagnosed with cancer.

关于我们

The Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation was formed in 1991 by a group of parents and medical providers after a statewide needs assessment showed that there were many childhood cancer needs not being met by any existing entity. HCCF is a corporation organized under the laws of the state of Hawaii. HCCF was granted IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit status in 1993. The Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation serves to assist, support, and advocate for the needs of children diagnosed with cancer, their families, and long-term survivors of childhood cancer. The Foundation is dedicated to the children who are battling cancer, to those who have survived, and to those who survive in our hearts. Last year, HCCF’s Family Financial Assistance Program provided over $280,000 in assistance to Hawaii families with children with cancer. All of HCCF’s donated funds stay in Hawaii and all services are provided free of charge to families. Other programs include Kokua Baskets, educational workshops, social events, and advocacy.

  • Join HCCF as we honor and recognize today as International Childhood Cancer Day. This worldwide initiative aims to raise awareness and promote an increased appreciation and deeper understanding of the challenges faced by children and adolescents with cancer, the survivors and their families. Every year, more than 400,000 children and adolescents below 20, are diagnosed with cancer worldwide. The rate of survival depends on the region, with 80% survival in most High-Income Countries but as low as 20% only in Low- and Middle-Income Countries. Together, on ICCD, we raise our voices and envision the day all children and adolescents with cancer benefit from the best possible treatment, care and support regardless of where they live in the world.

  • A big mahalo to Maui Sporting Goods for holding their 6th Annual Jigging Tournament Fundraiser on behalf of HCCF. They raised $7,500 at this event alone to help support our keiki cancer warriors in Maui. We are so grateful to Maui Sporting Goods' owner, Brian Yoshikawa, and his ohana who have been supporting HCCF for over 25 years!?Their generosity and dedication to helping families in Maui is truly incredible and we look forward to our continued work together. Thank you!

  • A BIG thank you to all those who helped us with toy drives, donations and support for our upcoming annual holiday party for our keiki cancer warriors and families. From toys being donated, to handcrafted beanies and blankets, to those who helped to wrap all the gifts and for the many generous monetary donations it really does take a village- and in this case it was Santa's village! Thank you everyone for your support and we look forward to hosting our HCCF families this Saturday! Happy Holidays ??

  • Thank you to the Mililani Lions Club and the ladies of the Chit, Chat and Crafts group at Meheula Vista. They donated 30 lap blankets, 40 beanies and 20 stockings for our upcoming Holiday Party – where children fighting cancer in Hawaii and their families gather for fun and celebration during the holidays. Not only were the donations all so beautiful, but knowing they were all handmade with love and support for our keiki cancer warriors made them even more special. Thank you for your kindness and time in making these very special gifts!

  • The ongoing generosity and support of our community has made it possible for HCCF to continue our mission to help Hawaii's keiki and families fighting cancer. Here is just one example of how your donations have had a positive impact on the lives of the families we serve: "The HCCF financial assistance program supports our family not only financially, but also emotionally. It is stressful for parents to face this sudden situation and to take care of a sick child. To better take care of our child, we had to stop working in the first month. The financial support from HCCF has helped our family and gives us hope and support. Thank you!” Please visit us at hccf.org to make a donation in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!
