On this week's #MeetTheTeamMonday, we're excited to introduce Caitlin, our new Activity Therapy Manager! Caitlin has been a dedicated team member at Havenwyck for 7 years. She spent 5 years working on our B Unit and transitioned to our Partial Hospitalization Program last year. In June, Caitlin became an Activity Therapy Lead, leading her to take over the Activity Therapy Manager position. Caitlin holds a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from Michigan State University. Outside of work, she's passionate about exercise and teaches classes at her gym. She's a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and holds certifications in Barre Fusion and SOULfusion. Caitlin is a big football fan and loves attending all Michigan State home games. She also adores her one-year-old border, Collie. When asked what she loves most about Havenwyck, Caitlin said, "I love how supported and valued I feel as a Recreational Therapist here. Every member of the Treatment team always has something wonderful to say about the groups we provide to our patients and how important we are to patients’ treatment goals. It is also extremely gratifying to see patients improve their stay, from their first group with us to their last." Today is “Meet the Team Monday!” During the month of September, we celebrated Rebecca, our Admissions Supervisor, as it marks her 11th anniversary with Havenwyck! Rebecca began her journey with us in 2013, starting with an internship in Medical Records before transitioning to the Admissions department, and the rest is history. Over the years, she's played an integral role in piloting and training staff on new programs and procedures. She's also a Service Excellence Facilitator and helps us organize hospital events, ensuring everything runs smoothly. When she's not at work, you can find Rebecca enjoying a day on the golf course or cheering on local sports teams around town. When asked what Rebecca enjoys most about working at Havenwyck, she stated, "Helping people, whether it's supporting a family in need or assisting another department, I go home feeling like our team has made a real difference. I also love planning events for our dedicated and hardworking staff." Thank you, Rebecca, for your incredible contributions and dedication to our hospital. Last month, we had a few organizations generously donate prizes for our hospital picnic. We'd like to extend a big thank you to the Lansing Lugnuts and their Event Coordinator, Amanda, for providing tickets, and a special thanks as well to Paul, from Motown Museum, for providing gift sets that included tickets for museum tours and books that made our staff appreciation gifts even more special. We truly appreciate your support in making our event memorable!
