Ava Seward and Hailey Dahl have been named recipients of the 2024 Kathryn Gray McFarland Scholarship. Ava, the daughter of Scott and Jessica Seward of Havana, will be attending Illinois State University this fall. Hailey, daughter of Michael and Rosemary Dahl of Havana, will be attending Eastern Illinois University. Established by Havana businessman Mr. William McFarland in memory of his daughter, who passed away at the age of 20. This scholarship is awarded to deserving young women pursuing higher education. The award ceremony takes place annually on May 3rd which is Kathryn Gray McFarland’s birthday.

Applicants must be accepted by an accredited institution and be willing to work in Havana following completion. ??We are thrilled to announce that Nick France has joined our team!?? Nick joined us in January and is currently working at the Lewistown Branch as a Commercial Loan Officer/Executive Branch Officer. Nick brings 20+ years of experience in various aspects of lending and agriculture. Nick grew up on a family farm in Table Grove and graduated from VIT High School. After High School, Nick attended Illinois College in Jacksonville and graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Finance. He and his wife, Lynde reside in Table Grove, with their 2 sons, Noah and Landon. Nick is an avid sports fan and loves his Chicago Cubs and the Fighting Illini. When the family does get a bit of free time, they like to head to the Lake of the Ozarks. Nick looks forward to seeing everyone at the Lewistown Branch and is excited to serve his friends and neighbors in the community. #TeamHNB
