To Build the Best ATHLETIC FACILITIES—we go big! Hausmann hit an exciting milestone for the Wayne State College athletic project: the inflation of the new 97,000 square foot air-supported dome. This state-of-the-art facility includes a 300-meter synthetic track, multi-functional artificial turf with protective netting, four hitting cages for various sports, two pole vault boxes, two jumping pits, and two throw circles with safety cages. It also features 2,200 square feet of dedicated golf practice space, with a putting green, chipping surface, and fairway turf with nets. Serving University of Nebraska-Lincoln students, The 50/50—winner of the AGC Nebraska Chapter 2014 Build Nebraska Award and the American Concrete Institute Award of Excellence—needed us to come back for some remodels. Updates included game rooms, lounges, and study nooks with new paint, flooring, ceilings, lighting, and signage. To Build the Best SCHOOLS—we partner with visionary school districts. Hausmann celebrated ribbon cuttings for TWO elementary schools in the Brookings School District this fall. At Hillcrest Elementary, the new 96,000 square foot addition now includes a state-of-the-art gymnasium, media center, early childhood center, multi-purpose commons, secure entry, and classrooms. Medary Elementary's 92,000 square foot addition, plus 14,000 square feet of renovations, also brings new learning and activity spaces, from the gym and media center to an early childhood center and secure entry.
