FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Hausch Design Agency Creates New Brand Identity for Memory Cafe Alliance MILWAUKEE, WI, Sept. 18, 2024: Joe Hausch and Hausch Design Agency (HDA) have unveiled a new brand identity for the Memory Cafe Alliance, a breakthrough nationwide initiative. The brand, released in a September 10th “sneak preview” has been developed to support the dramatic and sustainable growth of #MemoryCafes across the United States and beyond. The Memory Cafe Alliance is the exciting culmination of the 12-month #EMC2 Project supported by Seattle-based Maude's Ventures and is dedicated to expanding support for individuals living with memory loss and their care partners. The Alliance will focus on boldly developing a national branding campaign, training system, evaluation tool, and user-friendly directory for Memory Cafes. Joe Hausch, President of Hausch Design Agency, personally led the branding design effort building upon foundational work by the EMC2 Lead Team in collaboration with the Memory Cafe Percolator Network and branding expert Anne Connell. The design process was highly collaborative, involving multiple iterations, and extensive feedback from leadership and community members. "The Memory Cafe Alliance is unique, and the process to create the logo and brand was very interactive from start to finish," said Joe Hausch. "We're honored to have contributed our experience and expertise to such a meaningful cause." The final logo features overlapping, hugging forms that create an "M", with a subtle emergence of a heart in the negative space. This design embodies the warm, friendly, community spirit at the core of every Memory Cafe experience. Anne Basting, Susan McFadden, and Beth Soltzberg, MBA, MSW, the leaders of the EMC2 project, expressed their gratitude for Hausch's contribution. "Joe and his team at Hausch Design Agency have created a brand that truly captures the essence of Memory Cafes. This new identity will play a crucial role in our efforts to raise awareness and support the growth of Memory Cafes nationwide," said McFadden. The Memory Cafe Alliance has received significant additional support, including a $115,000 gift from the Brookdale Foundation for the creation of three training modules. These modules, meant to support Memory Cafe leaders who are interested in learning how to start a cafe, will be hosted by Dementia Friendly America and available free of charge. This new brand identity will underpin the EMC2 leadership's work with Dementia Friendly America to refresh the Memory Cafe Directory to provide an enhanced, more engaging user-experience. A soft launch of the national Memory Cafe Directory is planned for Fall of 2024. About Hausch Design Agency LLC: HDA, led by Joe Hausch, is a Milwaukee-based creative firm specializing in brand development and marketing solutions. With a rich history of serving diverse clients, the agency is known for its innovative approach to design and commitment to community engagement.

Just found a powerful note from a great client from just last year: "Dear Joe, Thank you for attending my retirement Open House and for the key role you played in the success of our firm. I often think of you as I see our "Andy Warhol-Esque" Logo, its success in showing the values of our firm, and how it has stood the test of time to look current 15 years later!" - Sincerely Tom O'Connell, Partners In Design Architects

"Anti-design is an approach that ignores?common design practices?with the goal of creating surprising and innovative layouts. In digital design, this method encourages exploration and experimentation, pushing the boundaries of what it means to be a useful and?engaging website.?" -Written by?Ellen Glover

We are proud to be supporting a very important initiative that you may never have heard of. "Memory Cafés are a global thing and they are going to become very important to so many of us as about 60 million people?worldwide are living with dementia now and this number will almost double every 20 years." said HDA Owner Joe Hausch, "Memory Cafés offer a safe, fun, open, warm healthy environment for the caregiver and loved ones to attend. This initiative will help create standards, guidance, and directives for these platforms around the U.S. and hopefully globally." HDA is creating the logo/brand guides and simple applications. "We will contribute as much as we can as long as this brilliant team will have us." Joe smiles, "This is personally so important to me and I know this work will impact so, so many - we look forward to the next steps." #memorycafes #memorycare #caregiviers #caregiving #branding #logos
President/CEO/CCO at PHOTAVIA: Engaging Edutainment ? MARN, Executive Director, Owner at Hausch Design Agency ? Executive Producer of over 325 mini-documentaries ? Designer of 600+ Brands
Special thank you to Anne Basting, Sam Goodrich, Beth Soltzberg, MBA, MSW, Susan McFadden of the EMC2 Team, for the very kind words, I am personally so proud that we are a part of this and looking forward to working with you all to build and grow this very important #MemoryCafeAlliance. "Branding Nearly Complete In order to launch the new cafe directory, the Lead Team realized the missing piece was the branding. The #EMC2 Alliance and #Percolator had already done considerable homework on the feeling / meaning of cafes, as well as like-minded brands, with branding expert Anne Connell. Joe Hausch, of Hausch Design Agency LLC and PHOTAVIA, generously agreed to build on this foundation and work with us pro bono to create branding materials. The Lead Team responded to a first draft, and shared Joe’s team’s second draft with the Percolator group in their quarterly idea exchange. A third draft will be shared at our Alliance meeting for feedback to inform the Lead Team’s final selection.? When branding is complete, EMC2’s lead team will work with DFA to build the beta-version of the new National @Memory Cafe Directory ." https://lnkd.in/gUbCfXQb Thanks to Roger Anunsen, Patrick Blazek, Brandt Hausch, David S. Cucinotta, and John Wright, CAPS, CSSP for your support.
