We help electrical and electronics engineers start their careers as professionals in PCB and hardware design, signal integrity and power integrity, putting them among the top 5% of hardware designers in 6 months or less. We train teams of electrical and electronics engineering professionals to design state of the art PCBs and hardware from scratch in the fraction of the time it takes to get a new engineer up to speed in high speed hardware design and layout. Finally, we help people (especially EEs) transition to software and AI roles as full time programmers using Python by learning coding the right and intuitive way that we’ve developed. Now engineers, companies and students can build the technology they’ve dreamt of that college hasn’t fully delivered on. To clarify, we’re not a bootcamp. We are a program and a community (Ha = Hardware, So = Software, Fu = ふ Community [in Japanese]). We believe that proper lesson planning and learn hacking techniques and strategies are the way to achieving our dreams in STEM. HaSofu’s mission is to be the premiere education institution for practical learning and application of hardware and software skills. We also provide strategic guidance for small businesses who need content marketing and messaging strategies to get recognition and sales for their tech brands. HaSofu started as a hardware design company, creating PCBs for other businesses who needed outsourcing of their designs. Now we’re pioneering innovative ways of learning STEM skills for companies, working professionals and college students.

    Back by popular demand...the Crosstalk Calculator!!! Was a real pain to put back in. ???? As I've stated before, the math is simply...well, you decide. (not my formula) That's why the Differential Pairs calculator was updated to handle it. However, many people asked for it to be brought back so here it is :) It will be a pop-up and not part of the main tabs body.     Understanding Transistor Configurations: The Basics of Amplification Transistors, the heart of modern electronics, can be configured in three fundamental ways: Common Emitter, Common Base, and Common Collector. Each configuration has unique input and output characteristics, making them suitable for different applications. Configuration Insights: 1. Common Emitter (CE): Function: Amplifies voltage and current. Characteristics: Offers high gain, phase inversion. Applications: Widely used in audio amplifiers and signal amplification. 2. Common Base (CB): Function: Voltage amplification. Characteristics: High voltage gain, no phase inversion, low input impedance. Applications: High-frequency amplification in RF circuits. 3. Common Collector (CC): Function: Current amplification. Characteristics: High input impedance, low output impedance, no voltage gain. Applications: Used as a buffer in impedance matching.     Component Placement with KiCAD - HTML BOM ?? One of my favorites plugins from KiCAD ?? is HTML BOM, it facilitates a lot of the manual component placement when you do prototypes at home. Simply you can generate the file from the project BOM, and will create you a web based GUI with all the components, where they need to be placed, and dynamically you can first check that you have sourced the components, and later on that you have placed them, so you won't miss anything.?? Some extra features: -- You can exclude components from BOM, using DNP or with filters. -- Possible to include tracks and nets for searching -- Highlight location of polarity, first pin of components... -- Adding more checkboxes -- Field selection Feel free to share your tips, questions or favorite Plugins or features of your ECAD software.

    Open Visions Technology - providing engineering services and highly repairable fully open-hardware consumer electronics

    This animation shows a visualization of different velocity factors in a PCB. Both simulations use the same excitation and port parameters. Only the permittivity is different, highlighting how the signal travels much faster in low Dk dielectrics. ? This simulation shows an embedded trace. A signal on an outer layer also travels faster because part of the EM field propagates through air, which has a Dk close to one. Using a low Dk material has several advantages. One is also related to the signal propagation speed, since at a higher signal speed the allowable length mismatch for a given time delay is greater, making length matching easier. #electronics #simulation #hardwaredesign
