Members of Harvard Saudi Students Association and MIT Saudi Student Association had the pleasure of meeting HE Dr. Muhammad Al-Saggaf, President of King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals - KFUPM, during his visit to Boston. Dr. Al-Saggaf shared insights into KFUPM’s role in fostering an innovation ecosystem in alignment with Vision 2030 goals, through the university’s Interdisciplinary Research Centers (IRCs) and in creating an entrepreneurial environment for its students and faculty. We are grateful for the insightful conversation and the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of KFUPM’s R&D contributions.

The event, titled "Innovation and Digital Transformation in Saudi Arabia," was a fantastic gathering filled with engaging discussions and networking opportunities. His Excellency highlighted Digital Government Authority's key role in Saudi Arabia's digital transformation. He noted achievements in digital education, healthcare, and financial sectors. He also emphasized advancements in e-government services, such as digital IDs, and prioritized AI development, cloud computing, and data governance aimed at global leadership in AI by 2030.
