The October 7th 2023 Hamas attacks were a “watershed moment,” according to Asim Ijaz Khwaja, the co-chair of Harvard University's task force on combating anti-Muslim, anti-Arab, and anti-Palestinian bias. Kwaja spoke on Monday evening with Asl? ü. Bali, a Yale scholar of international and human rights law, about the profound consequences of the past 13 months on American college campuses and American Muslims. #Harvard
关于我们
Harvard Magazine is one of the only editorially independent alumni magazines in the country. Founded by alumni more than a century ago, the magazine is published six times a year by a separately incorporated nonprofit affiliate of Harvard University. Harvard Magazine has excellent access to University news and news sources, but is written, edited, and produced—like any independent news medium—with readers' interests foremost in mind. That is to say, the magazine is not published with the aim of promoting financial donations to the University. The magazine balances intellectual substance with human interest, educating and entertaining readers with insightful reporting in the fields of business management, economics, the arts, literature, technology, medicine, current events, and the social sciences taking place at the University—one of the premier research and teaching institutions in the world. Harvard Magazine is the only Harvard publication distributed to all University alumni, including those of Harvard College, Harvard Business School, Harvard Medical School, Harvard Law School, the Graduate School of Design, the Kennedy School of Government, and all other Harvard graduate and professional schools-–as well as University faculty, and staff.

Does your Thanksgiving dinner make any difference in the context of greenhouse gas emissions and climate change? Experts from the fields of nutrition and environmental science at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health recently explained “sustainable eating” at the event Eco Gusto! Harvesting a Healthy & Sustainable Holiday. The presenters also included Graceanne LaCombe from ALMA - La Scuola Internazionale di Cucina Italiana and Fondazione Barilla, who shared some of the work behind the LIFE Climate Smart Chefs (LCSC) project. LCSC has recently developed a series of sustainability nutrition guidelines, referred to as the “Healthy and Sustainable Guidelines.” LCSC's work was also recently presented at the COP29 Azerbaijan side event “Chefs at the forefront of reducing emissions: results from the EU LIFE Climate Smart Chefs project.” #Harvard
