What can YOU do to help keep work zones safe? ??Keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you when driving through a work zone. Sudden stops can happen unexpectedly. ??Obey posted speed limits and be prepared for reduced speeds in work zones. ??Follow all signs and directions given by flaggers or workers directing traffic. ?? Avoid distractions such as using your phone, eating, or adjusting the radio while driving through work zones. ??Merge as soon as possible when approaching a lane closure to maintain a smooth traffic flow. ?? Be patient and courteous towards other drivers and workers in the work zone.
