Most should be well aware but some may not have been paying attention the last few weeks. The ILA is officially on strike, affecting the US East and Gulf ports from Texas to Maine. I wanted to share with my network the information our VP Jack McDonough sent out this morning to several key clients. No predictions or hot takes, just good solid information. If you didn't already make preparations, there's not much that can be done for cargo in transit but if you have any new shipments coming up, import or export, please be aware and ensure your transportation provider is being proactive and giving you options that avoid the ports affected by the strike.
