The Harris Poll's second annual State of Maternal Health in America highlights timely and concerning data as World Patient Safety Day (Sept 17) is recognized – confirming that patient experiences for pregnancy/birth in the US are lacking for a majority and better education and support is needed. More than 3 in 5 women who’ve been pregnant/given birth (61%) say certain factors would’ve made their pregnancy/birth experience easier or better – with top factors being better education for labor and delivery (30%), being better informed of options during labor (26%) and knowing how to best advocate for themselves (25%).
