The vision of the Office of the County Engineer is to enhance environments and create new buildings that will elevate the quality of life for the ever-growing community of Harris County. Our engineering, architecture, project management, real property assessment/acquisition, and construction services are innovative and practical to ensure that our project results are creative, sustainable, and exceed expectations. National Green Weeks run from February through April, and we’re excited to continue to share how the Office of the County Engineer (OCE) is leading Harris County’s green energy efforts! OCE’s Household Hazardous Waste Team operates a collection site dedicated to safely disposing of hazardous materials for Harris County residents, outside of incorporated City of Houston limits. With several species now classified as Threatened or Endangered in Texas, their presence could require a critical relocation effort.
