    Tailored real-time web experiences can drive significant revenue. The challenge is delivering experience-customization that is performant enough to keep users engaged. Traditional CDNs can't help since they lack the ability to cache dynamic content. Calls to origin systems aren’t feasible because they slow the user experience, undoing the revenue-generating value of tailored experiences. 𝗦𝗼, 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗯 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲? The main problem to solve is data latency. It’s easy enough to have an edge application, serverless or traditional. But it’s an entirely different challenge to also have the images, descriptions, inventory counts, etc. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀. For best results, data must reside on the same server that hosts your website at the edge. Even better if the data is memory-mapped for low-latency retrieval.  By taking this approach, latency is minimized, getting data to client devices without multi-sever delays. 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀. With every node pulling double duty, web hosting + data storage, horizontal scale is easy. Just clone the node.
