Congratulations to the HarperCollins Polska team: Daniel Silva’s The Collector (Kolekcioner) was voted the 2024 Book of the Year in the thriller/crime category by Granice.pl.

Last week, we unveiled our new 550,000 sq ft distribution center and offices in Glasgow, Scotland. This state-of-the-art facility will serve as the cornerstone of our HarperCollins Publishers UK operations, employing 400 people and managing an impressive 110 million books annually—reaching up to 3 million per week during peak seasons. ? Designed with sustainability in mind, the site will also house the HarperCollins archive, featuring rare first editions, original artwork, and literary treasures. It will also host much of the Collins team. ? To coincide with the launch, HarperCollins teamed up with Glasgow Life to donate a pack of 50 children’s books to every primary school in the city. During the unveiling of the center on World Book Day, HarperCollins leadership urged the government to address the “crisis in children’s reading” by investing in programs that foster a love for books and reading for pleasure. ? The celebration brought together politicians, business leaders, employees, and authors, who toured the cutting-edge facilities. We are thrilled that two HarperCollins titles were honored as winners at the 30th annual Audie Awards, celebrating the year's best audiobooks. The American Queen?by Vanessa Miller, narrated by?Angel Pean, won in the Faith-Based Fiction or Non-Fiction category. The Book of Doors?by Gareth Brown, narrated by?Miranda Raison, won for Science Fiction. An additional 15 HarperCollins titles were named finalists across various categories. HarperCollins Publishers announced a three-book publishing deal with the creators of Gracie's Corner, an innovative children’s brand that entertains, educates, and inspires. With two 2025 NAACP Image Awards and millions of subscribers on their YouTube channel, Gracie's Corner has become a household name for families worldwide. ? Started by the Hollingsworth family during the pandemic to fill the gap in diverse educational entertainment for children, Gracie's Corner uses music and dance to teach preschool concepts. And now, their popular songs will come to life in books! The first two titles, Today Is Gonna Be a Great Day! and What Sound Does That Letter Make?, based on the viral videos?“Good Morning Song” and?“Phonics Song,” will be published September 30. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Greenwillow Books, a beloved imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. Founded by Susan Hirschman, Greenwillow has become a trusted name in children’s literature, celebrated for publishing “books for real kids,” as described by author/artist Kevin Henkes. To commemorate the milestone, Henkes designed a special 50th anniversary logo. ? Over the years, Greenwillow has built an impressive roster of acclaimed creators, including Henkes, Donald Crews, Erin Entrada Kelly, Naomi Shihab Nye, Lynne Rae Perkins, Herman and Peggy Parish, and Diana Wynne Jones, and has won numerous awards including the Newbery and Caldecott Medals.?Virginia Duncan, Greenwillow’s Vice President and Publisher, credits the continued success of the imprint to Hirschman's original mission statement: “We hope that at the heart of each Greenwillow book there is honesty, emotion, and depth—conveyed by an author or an artist who has something that is worth saying to children and who says it in a way that is worth reading.” ?
