With 2024 fading out of site, we have to stop a moment and reflect on all the accomplishments achieved this past year only made possible by the talented men and women across our companies. The solutions outweighed the problems. The successes outweighed the challenges. Culture was the winner. Our people claimed the prize. And it sure helps when you have great clients, great industry partners, and great collaboration between the teams. As we began to wind down 2024, many of our division offices get together to celebrate with family and friends. For some, it’s the first time meeting other coworkers within our organizations. But for others, it’s the only coworkers they’ve ever known. From interns through senior management, pretty amazing to have employees who have spent their entire careers side by side. Update…. Our DFW team members recently finished erection of the drop in sections on the post-tension segment of the new West Fork Trinity River bridge. Challenge: Pick, walk, handoff and set 6 - 240,000 LB TX82 drop-in girders (over water) Limited site access due to archeological constraints. 135 foot lift radius’s Unusual DFW rain amounts in late May and June Solution: ~60+ truck loads of crane parts to mobilize and assemble ~7 foot overex and rock base for crane pads ~Extensive haul road and crane pad prep ~Multiple company coordination ~3 cranes, 2000+ tons of combined lift capacity ~Over water mid-air handoff between cranes We can’t express how proud we are of our people, partners and clients that participated to make this operation a safe success.
