Announcement & Invitation : Impact Real Estate Research Group 2025 How do we energise the impact real-estate ecosystem? We are inviting professionals and organisations working in impact real-estate - building regenerative villages or eco-resorts - to join us to formulate the tenets of Impact Real Estate. After coming together in 2024 and beginning to explore the topic of Impact Real-Estate we've come to the realisation how important this work is not just to our projects, but to energising the whole ecosystem of Impact Real Estate. Building on the success of our working together last year we've decided to expand our work to three working groups, and to extend a new invitation to join us in the work, and to invite organisations to partner with us. We are starting a three month research cycle in three workstreams 1) Impact Real Estate best practices and frameworks lead: Martin Hohn 2) Funding Impact Real Estate lead: Victor Vorski ?? 3) Building a collective of Impact Real Estate professionals & organisations lead: Carsten Christiani Invitation to participate Join us if you are a impact real-estate professional interested in participating in any of the above our workstreams please reach out. Invitation to partner We are inviting aligned organisations to partner with us - to participate in the research workstreams and help share the resulting podcasts and reports. Please support us by suggesting who we should talk with, and sharing any related reports. Please contact us if you would like to join in this work: Victor Vorski ?? In order to thrive long-term we have to learn to build a society and economy which creates a positive impact on the biosphere and the built environment is a huge part of our impact on the earth. A lot is being done to reduce harm through sustainability measures, but we need to go much further to build in a way which creates a positive impact. A new class of real estate is trying to emerge which goes beyond mere sustainability to create a positive impact - regenerative villages and eco-tourism projects designed to improve the ecosystem and human wellbeing. This new form of real-estate is not receiving the attention and funding that it deserves. Working in the space of regenerative village & eco-wellness-resort building for over a decade we have become frustrated by how hard it is to get good projects funded, and we are setting out to understand why this is.
