Talking about Beverages… How about a little Gin and Juice ???? Ladies and gentlemen, the DOGG Father has come to the conclusion that the: D-rink O-pportunity G-onna be G-igantic! Last week, the grandmaster of the commercial partnership, Snoop Dogg, doubled down into the functional beverage space, including hemp/cannabis products. He announced an investment into Iconic Tonics. The press release talks all about that upside and drops it like it’s HOT. Uncle Snoop is bringing his brands and his new SKUs and cosigning other brands - don't forget it's more than a brand - it's a lifestyle ! I keep telling you about beverage and how it’s finally coming good on the industry’s expectations. Here’s why I think this is big news: → Snoop is indicative of the broader market and how its moving → Given the DTC angle, this could be a celebrity partnership that actually works → I can’t be the only one waiting for a Martha collab…. → But it begs another question: is this one deal too far for Snoop, or are we talking about the DoggFather of Drinks? The adult #nonalcohol drinks category keeps growing and growing ??. Recent NielsenIQ data shows off premise #NA sales rechead $740M in the last 52 weeks! This is up $175.8 million vs year ago. Adult NA beverages are also growing double digits by +30.9% vs year ago. #NAbeer, wine, and spirits (including RTDs) are all consistently growing in sales year over year, not just during #DryJanuary.
