We wrapped up the late morning with an inspiring look at collaboration and innovation across industries and heard from a number of biotech startups that are driving growth in the Metro NY area. The Industry Cross-Pollination & Collaboration panel spotlighted cross-industry innovation in bioengineering, bioart, climate, and health. Moderator Kidd Duhe Solomon, M.P.H., Assistant Vice President at New York City Economic Development Corporation, led a discussion with Casey Lardner, PhD, Executive Director of Genspace NYC; Elena Soterakis, Co-Founder, Executive Director, and Curator at BioBAT Art Space; Paul Rubery, Executive Director of Biodesign Challenge; and Ahmet Hamdi Cavusoglu, Program Director at Merck Digital Sciences Studio on how NY and NJ initiatives are mobilizing resources to tackle global challenges through hard tech and bioengineering.
