Keep Going In the early days of Harkcon, I believed we had struck gold with a tool we developed called the Competency Toolbox—a product designed to streamline hiring, job descriptions, training plans, and evaluations. We zeroed in on the chiropractic industry, leveraging a partner’s deep connections. The product was innovative and creative (and still is, honestly). For two years, we poured everything into it—traveling, demoing, and hustling at conferences. But sales remained slow, and our runway was shrinking fast. Despite our belief in the product, it just wasn’t resonating with the market. The setbacks were humbling, and eventually, we faced a critical decision: pivot or die. That’s when we decided to press hard into the government contracting space. Looking back, it’s clear how assumptions, timing, and market fit played a role. We learned the hard truth that building a great product isn’t enough. You have to meet a real need, solve a problem or pain point, and continuously test, refine, and adapt. Then you have to aggressively market it. Failure stings, but the lessons stay with you. Those scars? They’re reminders of the resilience it takes to move forward and the wisdom you gain along the way. We don't have it all figured out. We are never out of the woods.  It's always hard. Today, we pause to remember the events that happened on September 11, 2001. We honor the heroes who emerged in the face of unimaginable tragedy. The events of 9/11 forever changed our country and reinforced the values of courage, resilience, and unity.    Many of us at Harkcon remember the day vividly, as veterans, civilians, family members, loved-ones, and ultimately, as Americans who witnessed the strength and spirit of our communities come together.    Today, we also honor the memory of those we lost, express gratitude to first responders and military personnel, and recommit ourselves to serving with the same dedication and resolve.    Harkcon stands in solidarity with those who continue to serve and protect our nation. We will never forget.

Last night, the Harkcon team gathered at Dacha Beer Garden for a fantastic evening of camaraderie, conversations, and connection!
