Happy 11-year work anniversary to Heather Lapi! Heather is our Marketing/Project Manager here at HYI. From developing and managing the integrity of our brand to designing our office building, we appreciate all the hard work she puts in. Thank you, Heather, for your dedication over the years—congratulations on this milestone!

Today the spotlight is on Rachel Sciarillo, AINS who is celebrating her one-year anniversary at HYI! We asked her a few questions and this is what we learned: Rachel is originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia and as of 2024, works as a Commercial Account Manager for HYI. She obtained her P&C license in 2017 and her Associate in Insurance Designation in 2021. Outside of the office, she loves spending time outdoors, taking her dogs for long hikes, paddleboarding on the lake in the Poconos or the bay in Cape May, discovering new places to camp under the stars and swinging in her hammock reading a good book. During the fall, in particular, she and her boyfriend go leaf chasing to try and find new places with incredible foliage. So far, the Great Smoky Mountains and New Hampshire have been two of her favorites! ??????? One of Rachel’s favorite quotes is “Let your smile change the world, don’t let the world change your smile…she even has the first half of this quote tattooed on the back of her arm! She said that she “loves when people read it and they instantly smile”. ?? Fun fact: She wants to travel to all 50 states as an adult. As a child, her family had a big motorhome they traveled in every summer, but she would love to be able to visit all the states and appreciate them as an adult. ?? Thank you Rachel for all your hard work!

Today the spotlight is on James Diller for his one-year work anniversary! We caught up with Jim and asked him a few things about himself: Jim is originally from Lancaster, PA, and works as the Employee Benefits Director for HYI. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Pitt, a Master’s degree from the University of South Carolina, and an HR certificate from Central PA College. Despite only joining HYI in 2024, he brings 17 years of Employee Benefits consulting experience to our office! What he most enjoys about his job is that there is a great culture & lots of trust in each other to get the job done, from the top down. He also appreciates that his HYI teammates in the EB division & outside the division are always willing to lend a helping hand. In his time outside the office, Jim enjoys traveling for a long weekend, playing yard games with family & friends, or sitting down to watch a Phillies, Eagles, Pitt Football, or Pitt Basketball game. He also has the goal of visiting all 50 states and has been to 32/50 so far. One of his favorite quotes is: “That’s awesome!” Fun fact: At his 9th-grade physical before the start of the football season, he told his doctor, “I can’t wait to hit my growth spurt, to be 6’2” like my dad. My doctor said, “Jim, sorry. You’re done & will be more like your mom. How does 5’6” sound?”…my mom is 4’11." Thank you Jim for all you do!
