NEWS_ “Incredible new ￡87m bridge across major EU border that opens up for boats.” from Express Magazine's feature on an H&H project, the Narrow Water Bridge in County Louth, Ireland.? This new movable cable-stayed rolling lift bridge will connect the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland over the Newry River. Narrow Water Bridge will support pedestrian, cyclist, and vehicular crossing to encourage activity and development in Warrenpoint in Co. Down and Olmeath in Co. Louth. Roughan & O'Donovan led the design team, and H&H provided movable bridge engineering for the new structure. Our project partners, BAM UK & Ireland, constructed the bridge. https://lnkd.in/ebx_aXgj

UPDATE_Portal North Bridge's first section travels on the Hudson River, moving towards the project site. H&H is Amtrak's lead Construction Support Services Consultant for the project, which will improve reliability and increase capacity for the Northeast Corridor. #Construction #Railinfrastructure #hhsquad
Yesterday, the first section of NJ TRANSIT and Amtrak’s new Portal North Bridge began its journey from the Port of Coeymans, traveling down the Hudson River! Led by Carver Marine Towing tugboats Daisy Mae, Erin Elizabeth, and CMT Pike, and carried on McDonough Marine Service barges, this massive steel section spans 400 feet long, 78 feet wide, and 86 feet high, weighing approximately 5 million pounds! Assembled by Skanska Traylor Bros., Inc. JV and D.A. Collins Family of Companies at the Port of Coeymans and loaded out by Mammoet, this is one of three arches being built at the Port of Coeymans over the last year. Once complete, it will replace the century-old Portal Bridge that connects Newark, NJ to New York City. This first section made its way through NYC landmarks last night and arrive at its final destination over the Hackensack River later this week. #PortalNorthBridge #CarverCompanies #PortOfCoeymans #CMT #HeavyLift

PROJECT OF THE MONTH_ H&H was responsible for the final design and oversight during the construction of the Bronx River Parkway Bridge over Metro-North Railroad. The Bronx River Parkway Bridge consists of a 220' long-span steel plate girder bridge. H&H worked closely with MRT for review/ concurrence on project submittals, in addition to other project design modifications. #designedtoamaze #engineeredtolast
