This week the HMC Birmingham office held our annual HERO Service Day with the Community Foodbank of Central Alabama as part of our 2024 United Way Campaign kickoff. Volunteers packed food boxes for area senior citizens and holiday meal boxes for local families. We packed 481 individual boxes and 375 family boxes, feeding approximately 2,000 people in the Birmingham community. HMC also donated a large amount of non-perishable food items. In late 2023, the Harbert Infrastructure team gathered to plan their 2024 Fitness Challenge. ? The team set two ambitious goals: a) to prepare for and summit Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, and b) to raise at least $20,000 for charities that held personal significance to the climbers. ? We are thrilled to announce that the team successfully reached the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro and, more importantly, surpassed their fundraising goal of $20,000. These funds will go toward supporting the vital missions of the below charities. We wish them continued success in their efforts. HMC is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with 2-4 years of experience in tax planning and tax compliance.?The role’s primary responsibilities include coordination of tax return preparation with outside service providers, research and analysis of tax planning opportunities, and preparation and review of tax calculations.
