Strength in teamwork! JK, we were able to be at our most cheesy showing off our mocap capabilities in Ohio GDEX. Here John is pictured assembling the Virtual Camera System, the team is wiring all 12+ cameras we put in a 10x10 space, our hotel was literally an old bank vault (so cool), and we gave some panels on mocap for indie devs in particular, and our Creative Director Brian T. Murray gives a Cinematography in Games talk, hosted by the one and only Christopher Volpe. It was an awesome time!

Did you know the new Planet of the Apes film Blu Ray has a version where the entire film is like this? Yes, if you don't like apes, you can watch the entire film without them! Seeing Gollum and what went into making him is what sparked my interest in computers, CG, and motion capture - this will surely do the same for people today. The only question is, what is a Planet of the Apes without the apes?

For this year at GDEX 2024, Haptix showed up in full force. We built and tested a pop-up #mocap system that would run off of 12 cameras in a 10x10 space, transported it to Columbus, Ohio, and assembled and ran it for three days showcasing livelink, recording for #indiegame devs in need, and raffled off chances for attendees to get in the suits and play. We are proud to say it ran smoothly all weekend and participants were very happy. We are flying high and excited to serve more indie devs. Thank you everyone at GDEX 2024!

A bit about us... we are a commercial motion capture stage in the Midwest- the only one of its size. We work with game developers, film producers, commercial and R&D clients. We love to capture stunts and locomotion, crowds of a dozen performers or more, and complex scenes in virtual production.
