There are many details of having a conversation that we take for granted when we think of teaching an AI to speak. Knowing when the other person has finished speaking is a very important one! Our incredibly talented team of AI researchers & engineers, led by Luis Paarup, are constantly refining all of these details. Our customers rely on us for their day to day operations to run smoothly & we take that very seriously. When current state-of-the-art models don't perform where we need them to, we fine-tune our own. Current state-of-the-art models for end-of-turn detection in conversations are only about 70% accurate. This can lead to frustrating interruptions, especially when exchanging information during a call. I'm thrilled to announce that our most recent model achieves 94% accuracy in production and reduces interruptions to a third of the state-of-the-art alternatives. Check out this great episode of Let’s Talk Supply Chain with Ryan & Sarah for the full context: https://lnkd.in/g-UMUxDm But one quote in particular stood out: “People underestimate the amount of accounting that goes into forwarding, but it’s largely an accounting problem. It’s a communication & accounting problem. On the quality piece, most of the inefficiencies & costs in logistics come from bad quality - bad data, mistakes that are made…” To those in the industry, it’s no surprise that good communication & good data are at the core of an efficient supply chain, but this was a great reminder of the magnitude changes to these areas can make. And this applies beyond the more obvious considerations in the front office - helping reps communicate faster, getting updates faster, accurately logging lanes, etc. Ryan & Sarah stress the importance of communication & data across the business, into other departments. Accounts payable, for example, needs access to delivery information to understand if they should pay an invoice. Supply chain is a data & communication problem. ??
