It's a great day for advocacy in Washington! Today, HAP and hospital government relations officers from across the commonwealth visited with federal lawmakers to highlight how they can support access to care and other critical hospital priorities.

Pennsylvania children's hospitals are calling on the U.S. Senate to advance legislation that would address barriers that children covered by Medicaid face when traveling out of state for care. “When children need health services that are not available in their home state, they must travel to different states to receive care. This is particularly true for children with medically complex conditions who must regularly access highly specialized providers found in children’s hospitals,” the coalition of children's hospitals wrote in a letter this week to Senators Casey and Fetterman. Hospital leaders across the greater Philadelphia area gathered to network and learn this morning at #HAPSoutheastConnect.
