Founded in 1984, H?ns Kissle began as the regional commissary for a small, high-end grocery chain in New England, MA., crafting fresh, upscale prepared foods and deli salads from a 30,000 square foot facility in Somerville. More than 30 years later, we’re still in the kitchen in our 112,000 square foot facility, cooking up delicious foods with an uncompromising commitment to quality and service on a national level. To better meet demand, H?ns Kissle recently invested more than $62M in a new 100,000 square foot facility based in Dallas, NC.

We were honored to be recognized as a 2024 Climate Leader at the Mass Save 2024 Climate Leaders Award Ceremony at the Massachusetts State House! ???? This award recognizes H?ns Kissle’s commitment to sustainability, made possible through the dedication of our Maintenance and EHS Manager, David Gaudet, and our entire incredible team. In partnership with National Grid, we have implemented energy efficiency projects such as heat recovery, pipe insulation, steam trap replacements, compressed air improvements, and lighting upgrades. These initiatives are projected to save over 700,000 therms of gas and 1,500 megawatt hours of electricity, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 4,000 tons—a significant step toward lowering our carbon footprint. Dave Gaudet proudly accepted this award on behalf of H?ns Kissle, recognizing the hard work that went into making these projects a reality. Sustainability is a core focus for us, and we’re excited to continue making meaningful progress. A huge thank you to our dedicated team and partners who made this achievement possible!
