Excited to welcome the newest class of Junior Analysts to the Hanley Sustainability Fund this spring! Pictured alongside them is our Head of Development, Charlie Keith, who will be leading them through an intensive 8-week training program to learn the foundation of sustainable investing. Congratulations to this talented group-we can’t wait to see what they will accomplish!

The S&P 500 rose 2.4% in the fourth quarter and finished the year with a total return of 24.89%. Despite the dip in stocks to end the year, all four major U.S. stock indices finished the quarter with a positive return. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting the Wittenberg Investment Club as they came into town to visit our center, network with fund members and learn about more each other's organizations. As we grow in scope and reach, we look forward to the lessons we can learn from each other along with the value this will add to our portfolios and the students involved in our organizations. Mr. Hanley led an insightful conversation discussing topics such as the future of clean energy, why companies should integrate ESG risk into their business model, and how the Hanley Center and Hanley Sustainability Institute can better integrate with one another.
