If information needs to be shared or a story needs to be told, you can count on the HMIS Communications team to get it done; whether that’s in our employee newsletter, a sitewide email message, or even here on social media! We work hard to make sure HMIS employees and the Hanford workforce stay well informed, but the best part of our job is sharing the milestones and accomplishments our teammates achieve every day. Stay tuned for more great news, coming soon!?

??We are proud to participate in the Department of Energy’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), dedicated to helping worksites improve workplace safety and health. HMIS has three separate VPP programs, one for our general contract, one for HAMMER and one for Safeguards and Security. This year, we received three VPP Star of Excellence Awards, which are awarded to sites that achieve an occupational injury and illness rate at least 75% below each of the applicable U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics industry averages, among other goals. Being awarded three Stars of Excellence highlights the commitment of our workforce in ensuring safety is our first priority – keep up the great (and safe) work! ??

We want to give a HUGE thank you to Coby Sadler and David Kleinow, two incredible members of the HMIS Family who each received the President’s Life Saving Award. When tragedy struck, these two men were in the right place at the right time—and their selflessness and quick actions literally saved lives. Their courage and willingness to step up in the face of danger exemplify what it truly means to care for one another. Coby and David, you are both HEROES in every sense of the word. Thank you for being examples of true compassion and real bravery. The HMIS Family is so proud of you! #LifeSavingAward #HMISHeroes #ThankYou #TrueHeroes

We’re excited to recognize Deborah Mensinger, a longtime Tri-Cities resident and HMIS employee who generously donated a handful of pieces to support the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation's Autumn Affair event! Deborah donated a limited-edition WSU Cougars painting, antique furniture pieces and unique Seattle Seahawks prints. Her donations are more than just items, they represent her deep connection to our community and her commitment to helping those facing cancer, an issue that has impacted her family. Deborah’s spirit of giving shines through not only in her support of the Cancer Center but through her generosity to those in need. Her dedication inspires us all. Thank you, Deborah, for all that you do! #CommunityStrong #GivingBack

Thank you to our friends at Safe Harbor Support Center for hosting a wonderful Beggar’s Banquet fundraiser! The HMIS family loves coming together to support incredible nonprofits like this, especially when it includes sampling soups from local restaurants and trying to outbid others at the silent and live auctions. Congratulations to Safe Harbor – we know the funds raised will help support so many in our community. ?????
