In honor of 9/11 Day, National Grid Renewables and their veterans' employee resource group teamed up to support the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Fisher House. Volunteers replaced an old, and assembled new, set stone edgings to prevent mulch runoff, and trimmed and weeded the garden. Their commitment and hard work will help enhance the experience for veterans and their families. Wilder’s African American Babies Coalition and Projects is gearing up for their 2024 Black and Brown Birthing Summit on Sept 19-20, which will focus on celebrating, empowering, and uplifting Black and Brown voices in birthing justice. Volunteer opportunities are available to support this event, including morning setup, greeter and breakfast support, lunch assistance, wayfinding, and afternoon cleanup. Those passionate about birthing justice and making an impact are welcome to sign up for one or multiple shifts. BIPOC volunteers are encouraged to join. Volunteers must be 18 or older. Amherst H.
