Employees learned about the important work of these organizations and how they can get involved through volunteering. They also assembled 100 sock bundles that went to Bridging MN's drive for YouthLink MN. It was a fantastic afternoon of connection and gratitude!

At HandsOn Twin Cities, we believe in the power of volunteers to transform nonprofits, communities, and lives. This summer, at Black Butterfly Women Services, a team of dedicated volunteers completely revitalized the Black Butterfly House’s outdoor space—moving 12 cubic yards of mulch, filling 42 bags of yard waste, installing edging and landscape rocks, and clearing a massive pile of gravel and trash. This wasn’t just a landscaping project; it was a transformation of a space where women work toward stability, independence, and healing. Black Butterfly provides holistic support to women rebuilding their lives after incarceration, and projects like these create environments that inspire hope and change lives. This Connected for Change: Tech Day, use your tech expertise to support Watercourse Counseling Center to enhance their IT and technology practices to better serve their community. Watercourse Counseling provides vital mental health services to children and adults in Minneapolis but faces challenges with uniformity in their tech systems. They need tech experts to conduct a system audit, provide recommendations for improvement, and help create a roadmap for future IT decisions. Last week, over 90 volunteers joined forces at the 3M Public Affairs Summit to support two local nonprofits, Avivo and STARBASE Minnesota! Volunteers packed 400 reusable hygiene kits for Avivo, whose services transform lives for 10,000 Minnesotans each year by supporting recovery, housing stability, and economic advancement for those facing complex barriers. Volunteers also assembled nearly 600 rocket mounts for STARBASE Minnesota, where hands-on STEM education ignites creativity and inspires Minnesota youth to explore science, technology, engineering, and math. The rocket mounts will be used by elementary students participating in their STEM programming. Huge thanks to 3M’s volunteers for their hard work and commitment to helping our community thrive!
