The Hamilton Cyberhawks had a nice showing in their recent district match! Team 6114 played five playoff matches in a defensive role with no penalty points and finished third in their alliance. The team was also awarded the Rising All-Star Award celebrating the team that has persisted through challenges, despite the difficulties of being young. Today, all Hamilton Elementary students had the opportunity to tour the brand-new wing for the first time! Made possible by the passage of the 2023 bond proposal, this new space will soon be home to our 2nd grade, STEM, and Special Education classrooms beginning this fall. ?? A big thank you to OAK Construction and Parkway Electrical for taking the time to teach our students about the planning, hard work, and ongoing efforts behind the scenes. Six of our Hamilton High School Unified basketball athletes made the trip to Special Olympics Michigan today to compete in the SOMI Skills Competition! The pairs of Ben Popma/James Hoffman, Charlee Hoover/Emma Reilly and EJ DeVlieger/Blake Schipper had a blast competing against other Unified athletes from West Michigan. ?? The Hamilton Science Olympiad team had a fantastic showing at Regionals on Saturday! The Hawkeyes finished 2nd place overall and qualified for the State Competition! ?? Three 1st Place events (Tower, Electric Vehicle, Experimental Design) Four 2nd Place events (Bungee Drop, Cobebusters, Disease detective, material science) Three 3rd Place events (Chemistry Lab, Microbe MIssion, Robot Tour) 22 Events in the top 10.
