??? Exclusive Neighborhoods on the Rise: What Does It Mean for Noblesville? A recent article from The Hustle highlighted a significant shift in affordability across the U.S., and unfortunately, Noblesville's 46062 zip code was top among those that became "exclusive" — meaning housing prices now outpace the financial reach of many middle-income families. Our Executive Director, Andrea, spoke to this trend, explaining how local affordability issues are intensifying. "We shouldn’t build a wall around us and say, ‘You have to earn your way in,’” she said. With Noblesville offering exceptional services and educational programs, it’s critical to ensure housing access for everyone. At HAND, we’re working to bridge this gap and advocate for attainable housing options in Hamilton County’s rapidly changing landscape. ?? ?? Last Friday, we welcomed the Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District (Indiana) to Cumberland Cottages, where they planted cover crop seeds in our raised garden beds. These plants will not only prevent erosion but also enrich the soil, preparing it for future use. This is just one of the ways we’re working to create sustainable, vibrant communities for our residents. Partnerships like these help us promote long-term environmental and economic benefits—something we know local businesses value as much as we do. Interested in collaborating with HAND to support affordable, sustainable housing? Let’s connect! ??#housing4all

September has been packed with great community events, and we've loved every minute of it! Here’s a quick look at where we’ve been: ?? Connected with local businesses as a Green Sponsor for the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce Birdies & Brews IX Golf Outing. ?? Participated in Encore's 50+ Lifestyle Event in Tipton, sharing housing options and resources with older adults. ?? Spoke to the Noblesville Noon Kiwanis Club about our mission and the exciting projects we’ve been working on. ?? Attended Prevail, Inc.'s Autumn Fest as a vendor, supporting our partners and engaging with even more of the community. We love being out and about, sharing our mission, and connecting with so many of you. If your business or organization has upcoming events, panels, or speaking opportunities, we’d love to join you and share how affordable housing can positively impact our community. Let’s work together to create lasting change! #housing4all

We're thrilled to introduce the newly completed Plum Prairie community in Noblesville! This project became a reality thanks to the City of Noblesville, who generously donated three historic homes to HAND. These homes have now been transformed into four affordable rental units for low-income residents, providing much-needed housing options in our area. This partnership with the city is a perfect example of how municipalities can collaborate with nonprofits to make a lasting impact on affordable housing. Together, we can create vibrant, diverse communities where everyone has a place to call home. Let’s keep the momentum going! What city do you think is ready to join us next in making a difference? #housing4all

Thank you to everyone at the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce Birdies & Brews IX Golf Outing that stopped to chat, channel their inner Happy Gilmore and send their ball HOME! Out of roughly 130 golfers that participated, 30 won a magnetic koozie to outfit their cart as they continued along the course.
