Previously, she worked in TV production management before transitioning to HR. A proud alum of Michigan State University and PHR certified, Cheri is committed to creating an engaging work environment. Fun Fact: A travel enthusiast, Cheri plans to retire in Africa. Starting with her first visit to Cape Town in 2022, she has also explored Kenya and plans to visit Ghana next as she continues her journey to find the perfect retirement destination!

This week we will showcase award winning, Michelin star chef Alan Yau’s Washing Potato. Washing Potato is a bold and innovative Chinese restaurant that offers an exciting and playful culinary experience, merging traditional Chinese flavors with contemporary techniques and an avant-garde twist. The restaurant draws inspiration from Chinese street food culture, presenting a creative, elevated take on classic comfort dishes in a sleek, stylish, and modern environment. The design intent was to create a vibrant, dynamic atmosphere that emulates the bustling streets of China, which was?executed through??modern design elements such as wood, metal, and glass and custom artwork pieces.?The atmosphere is modern and clean, with plush seating arrangements, a striking bar area, and theatrical lighting that creates an intimate, inviting space for both casual diners and those seeking a more upscale dining experience. ?The open kitchen allows diners to observe the culinary team at work, enhancing the overall experience by providing a sense of connection to the food preparation process. The 5,000 square foot space consists of a bar, stage platform seating?and a main kitchen. HAA teamed up with?SHAPE - Studio H Architecture Planning Environments as Interior Architect of Record,?along with Fontainebleau Development,?designer Archer Humphryes Architects, owner representative W SQUARED and General Contractor W. From its artfully designed interiors to its sophisticated culinary offerings, Chyna Club creates a unique ambiance that combines culture and nightlife. Chyna Club’s design concept is a harmonious fusion of East meets West. With its bold, statement-making features, high end finishes, and immersive lighting, the restaurant encapsulates the glamour of Las Vegas while honoring the cultural richness of its Asian influences. The space’s design embraces high-end materials throughout, from the lacquered wood finishes on the walls to the velvet upholstery of the chairs and banquettes. The floor of Chyna Club is designed to create a striking visual effect, featuring a mix of polished marble, dark hardwood, and inlaid metallic accents. ? The 6,000 square foot venue consists of a Conservatory, Tea Lounge, Garden Lounges, Bars and Private Dining Rooms. HAA teamed up with?SHAPE - Studio H Architecture Planning Environments as Interior Architect of Record,?along with Fontainebleau Development,?designer Archer Humphryes Architects, owner representative W SQUARED and General Contractor W. This week we will showcase Nowhere Lounge #NowhereLounge is a funky, eccentric speakeasy venue that personifies cool. The moody, abstract tones with subtle, playful touches create a vibe that combines past and present. Live brass bands and magic shows are just two of many entertainment acts that ensure no two visits at this venue will ever be the same. Design and execution were crucial in achieving a patron’s experience of “odyssey into the unexpected”. Tiered, tray ceilings with subtle up lighting, perimeter downlighting, and sleek contrasting finishes are the catalysts that drove well executed design for this opulent space. Stone wall tiles , stone trim accents and abstract carpeting create an ambience of a swanky night out in the comforts of your own living room! The 5,200 square foot venue consists of a Lounge ,Bar and Library room. In combination with Fontainebleau Development, HAA collaborated designer John Rawlins, owner representative W SQUARED and General Contractor W. A. This week we will showcase LaFontaine, a 3-meal Brasserie that showcases the cuisine of world class executive chef Laetitia Rouabah . La Fontaine is a playful and elegant space focused on serving refined French cuisine. The warm gold tones contrasting with pops of #Fontainebleau’s signature blue create a comforting ambience that play off the curvature of the glass plate screen wall that lines the entry. Every inch of this venue was detailed with intent and precision; From the abstract chandeliers, reflective stone surfaces and soft seating, La Fontaine provides the patron with a beautiful experience from all vantage points! La Fontaine is a spacious yet cozy 8,000 square foot venue consisting of banquette style seating, a private dining room and a bar. In combination with Fontainebleau Development, HAA collaborated with world class, award-winning designer, Jeffrey Beers International, owner representative W SQUARED and General Contractor W. A. Our President/Owner, Rainy Hamilton, Jr. and Senior Architect, Dave Zanley attended the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History's Black-Tie Gala on Saturday, October 19th. It was a grand celebration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the institution by Dr. Charles H. Wright. It was a wonderful evening that included Detroit centric music, dancing and presentations by the Charles H. Wright staff, trustee’s and supporters. HAA was proud to serve as the Architect and lead a team of great consultants to accomplish the theater renovation. Neil A. Barclay, President & CEO of the museum, led a presentation in the newly renovated GM Theater showcasing the enlarged stage and proscenium, all new finishes, seating, mechanical systems, and new theatrical systems including lighting, rigging and audio/visual. We also proudly sponsored a table as a commitment to enhance and continue our relationship with the museum as they continue to renovate and upgrade spaces and systems throughout the facility.
