We're trying something different this year. It's our first attempt at it, but we hope it's well received. In addition to our regular process where we write larger checks, we're running a "First Check" investment event for startups with at least one CMU student or alumni cofounder during March 1 - June 30, 2024. It's designed for first time founders and very early stage startups. Our plan is to make up to four investments of $25K each during this time period. We will have an accelerated decision timeframe for event participants.
