Thank you so much for your application for OVP’s Spring Activity Grant. We are excited to share that Halt Violence has been awarded $40,000, pending passage by City Council on March 3rd.

Exciting News for Street Mentors at Halt Violence We are thrilled to announce an exciting development for our Street Mentors, thanks to the incredible generosity of the #RhemaChristianCenter. New Hourly Rate Effective immediately, all Street Mentors will now start at an hourly rate of $18. This change is made possible by a generous contribution from our donor, who will be offsetting the previous hourly rate of $16 with an additional $2 per hour. Impact of the Donation This increase is not just about numbers; it's about recognizing the invaluable work our Street Mentors do every day. The additional compensation underscores our commitment to supporting their efforts in making a positive impact in our communities. Acknowledging Our Donor We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Rhema Family for their generous support. Their contribution enables us to provide better compensation for our mentors, enhancing the overall effectiveness of Squashing Beef. We are hopeful that this increase will inspire our mentors to continue their excellent work with renewed enthusiasm and dedication.

The conditions some individuals live under in the community has to change. Every child should be able to grow up safe and receive the proper education to pursue their dreams.

Our mission is to ensure that every young person in our community has access to a safe and nurturing place where they can thrive. Halt Violence is against Domestic Violence. Our city had 23 murders in 2024 related to this layer of violence. In 2024, we had 9% of our clients receive Domestic Violence classes. In 2025, Halt Violence projects that 25% of our clients will receive domestic violence classes. https://lnkd.in/gzYGRZjC
