Some images from our quick and successful weekend in June at our #ParkAvenueViaductReplacement project. We have been working around the clock to replace sections of the aging Park Avenue Viaduct that carries MNR trains in and out of Gran Central, from 115th street to 132nd Street on Park Ave in East Harlem, NYC. Unique projects like this one require innovative ideas and thinking outside the box. You will notice we did just that, by creating these custom made Mi-Jack gantries that span across the PAV allowing us to remove & replace multiple spans in one weekend while MNR trains continue to operate. We are thrilled to announce that the Lower Westchester Bridge Bundle Project won the ASCE Publishing Lower Hudson Valley Tappan Zee Large Project of the Year Award! We are grateful that this multi-faceted NYS Department of Transportation project got the recognition it deserves as it enhances safety and improves the region’s resiliency during storm events. Scope includes replacing five bridges; providing drainage improvements, subgrade stabilization and utility relocations; as well as pavement reconstruction in three different locations in Westchester County, NY. Halmar, along with its JV partners as 3rd Track Constructors, Dragados USA, Inc., Picone, and CHINA CONSTRUCTION AMERICA, are proud to announce the #LIRRThirdTrackExpansion Project has been selected to receive the prestigious Grand Award in the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) 2024 Engineering Excellence Awards competition achieved by its lead designer Stantec. One of the region’s most significant transportation infrastructure design-build projects initiated an improvement towards mass transit, reduction concerning traffic congestion, and promoted environmental preservation to enhance the quality of life for communities along LIRR’s Main Line. Congratulations to Long Island Rail Road, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Stantec, and the entire team!
