Hi everyone, and welcome to Haley Dow Cake Co.! Being new to this platform, and the owner and creator of HDCC, I would love to take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you about this little dream of mine. ?????????? I’m Haley Dow, a 29 year-old wife, corporate professional, and self-taught baker with a passion for creating cakes and desserts worthy of celebration themselves! My love for baking began during the height of the pandemic. Navigating the switch from commuting to a corporate office to working from home, and adjusting to this “new normal”, I found baking to be the creative outlet I needed to de-stress in my downtime. This journey began by creating desserts and cakes for small gatherings with friends and family. It wasn’t long after that I was flooded with support and encouragement to share my talents with the masses. In February 2022, Haley Dow Cake Co. was born! While I maintain my career as a corporate project manager, I spend my evenings and weekends planning, baking, and decorating one-of-a-kind cakes and confectionery for my amazing clients. I specialize in bespoke buttercream cakes with a devoted attention to detail and passion for creating buttercream art. Haley Dow Cake Co. is a cottage business, a home-based operation, in Martinsville, Indiana, a quaint south-central town where small businesses are at the heart of the community. Maintaining an intimate business model allows me to work closely with clients, providing a personalized design service to create the perfect bakes for their special occasions. ?????????? To say this has been an incredible journey so far would be an understatement. What started as a creative outlet, has taught me so much about time management, marketing, customer service, pricing, and so much more! Entrepreneurship isn't for the faint of heart, but I wouldn't trade this experience for anything. I love sharing my passion with you all!
