Bryn Mawr College recently installed a public art project, Don’t Forget to Remember (Me), by artist Nekisha Durrett. The project was constructed in the courtyard of The Cloisters on Bryn Mawr’s Campus. The general contractor, The Sullivan Company, chose Haines & Kibblehouse, Inc. to assist with the challenging task of stripping the existing topsoil, adjusting drainage structures and installing a stone base and engineered soil. Due to the enclosed nature of the courtyard, materials could not be brought in through traditional access points. Instead, two (2) 249 Caterpillar tracked skid steer loaders, 125 tons of aggregate and 310 cubic yards of soil had to be “flown” into the courtyard utilizing a 240 ton crane provided by Sautter Crane Rental, Inc.. H&K produced the aggregate in their Douglassville quarry and manufactured the soil at their American Biosoils & Compost plant. H&K, Inc. operating engineers and laborers placed the materials to help construct this legacy project. #HainesandKibblehouse #BrynMawrCollege
