Jessica Sánchez, social work professor at UTA, gave her class the choice to write a research paper or do a service learning project this semester. The class voted to partner with Hagar's Heart and committed to making 200 "I See You" Boxes, which contain self-care tools and handwritten notes to survivors. Students have also been researching ways to raise money and purchase the items. We are overjoyed that so many future social workers chose to learn more about DV through this partnership, and so many survivors across North Texas will benefit.
