Upromise allowed consumers, including myself, to save for their kids’ college education through a loyalty rewards program. The company was very successful and it was later acquired by Sallie Mae. * His Dad, Julian Bussgang, was a scientist and entrepreneur who developed the Bussgang Theorem. * Jeff's educational background in AI at Harvard University. * The history of Flybridge and their early investments & current focus on AI. * Co-Founding Hack.Diversity with Jody Rose. * The details about Jeff's new book:?The Experimentation Machine – Finding Product-Market Fit in the Age of AI: https://lnkd.in/ebkm7isM And soooooo much more!!! cc: Mitch Kapor, Gary Eichhorn, Shikhar Ghosh, Gail Goodman, BC Krishna, Paul Sagan, Joel Cutler, Dave Andre, George Bell, Sheila Lirio Marcelo, Ron Marcelo, Donna Levin, Dave Krupinski, Chip Hazard, Zach Kirkhorn Episode Sponsor: As a longtime champion of the local startup ecosystem, Silicon Valley Bank?supports innovative companies with the solutions and financing they need through every stage of growth. Inclusive hiring processes break down employment barriers. Hack.Diversity’s Director of People and Culture, Claribel Lizardo-Gonzalez M.S.Ed, SHRM-CP, outlines key strategies for companies to foster an inclusive and open dialogue throughout the hiring process: ? Provide transparency: Be upfront about the hiring process and salary range. ? Make space for open dialogue: Ask questions that encourage dialogue about company culture and invite feedback. ? Involve diverse perspectives: Bring in voices from different departments and backgrounds. ? Craft inclusive job descriptions: Use accessible, straightforward language and focus on skills, not just degrees. These strategies will help companies attract AND retain a diverse talent pool from the get-go! Check out the full piece at Employee Benefit News.
