?? Did you know? In 2019, Habitat for Humanity International launched the Cost of Home campaign, focused on shaping vital policies to expand access to affordable homes for families in need. By forging strategic partnerships and mobilizing grassroots support, the campaign has sparked important conversations about our housing challenges. Over just four years, Cost of Home has championed over 300 policy changes across the nation! These pivotal actions have opened doors to affordable living for around 6.6 million people. By tackling systemic issues and pushing for progressive legislation, Habitat for Humanity’s Cost of Home campaign is dedicated to ensuring everyone has the right to decent housing, thriving communities, and stability. Last Friday, we were overjoyed to celebrate a huge milestone with Christopher—he’s officially a homeowner! ?? ?? ?? Christopher’s beautifully renovated two-bedroom condo is full of character, including a special touch: the original kitchen exhaust fan that we preserved during the remodel. Christopher shared that he's most excited about the stability that comes from homeownership. He won't have to worry about his rent increasing or having to move every couple of years to find more affordable housing. This dream became a reality thanks to the incredible support from our community. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this possible!
