Board Member Spotlight!?? Over the weekend, two of our wonderful Board Members were spotted at the 4th Annual East Texas Veteran’s Banquet! Mike Landess served as Emcee of the event, while LaRhonda Hamilton served as the event Chairman. As thanks for her dedication to serving East Texas Vererans, LaRhonda was honored by a Mayoral Proclamation, naming November 2nd as LaRhonda Hamilton Day in Tyler! ??? Congratulations!

We had the pleasure of partnering with Texas Farm Credit to complete another Exterior Facelift as part of a Critical Repairs grant funded by the Junior League of Tyler! Thanks to JLT's grant and this hardworking group, this home looks new again, and the homeowner is overjoyed! Thank you, Texas Farm Credit and Junior League!

On March second, our CEO, Mary Alice Guidry, had the pleasure of serving on a panel of distinguished female leaders at the Second Annual World Changing Women Leadership Night Out in celebration of Women's History Month. The event was organized by Smith County Habitat Board Member, LaRhonda Hamilton. “Women’s History Month is so very important and means so much to me because women are big contributors to our history. Women have helped mold our country and have fought so hard for women’s rights,” she said. We're so proud of all the ladies involved, but especially those serving side-by-side through Habitat for Humanity of Smith County!
