These homebuyers have completed their courses, logged sweat equity hours, and so many are just days or weeks away from closing on their very own homes. We had the special opportunity to host an intimate dedication for Angelita, one of our homeowners, who closed on her home the same day as graduation. It was heartwarming to see her share this milestone with her classmates and celebrate as she received her keys. Moments like these remind us of the incredible impact of partnership and community! We are excited to announce the groundbreaking of Hope Landing, a new development in Avon designed to provide attainable housing for first-time buyers in Hendricks County! ?? In partnership with Avon Christian Church, this 16-home neighborhood will offer families a community built on opportunity and hope. Yesterday’s event was filled with joy as we were joined by many inspiring organizations who share our vision of making affordable housing a reality. We extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped bring this vision to life and can’t wait to see Hope Landing take shape as we begin construction in the new year! We were thrilled to welcome our tithing partner, Habitat El Salvador, as they sent a few team members to visit us here in Indy! Having in-person time together was a fantastic opportunity to hear firsthand about the impactful work they’re doing—and to exchange ideas, methods, and processes that can benefit us all. While housing in Indianapolis and El Salvador may look different, our shared goal remains the same: to provide decent, affordable housing to families in need. Our Multifaith Build was a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when communities come together with a shared purpose. Hosted by Second Presbyterian Church, we were joined by over 30 different faith groups to begin the build for two deserving families, Briana’s and Mohamed’s. This event showcased the spirit of bringing people together to put their faith into action, and it was inspiring to the difference we can make together. This journey has been made possible through the dedication of countless volunteers and neighbors, whose efforts have brought this build to life. We’re still on a high from Friday’s perfect home dedication for Mercedes and her two boys! ??
